Abstract

A 4-month-old infant with right atrial aneurysm, presenting with recurrent episodes of lower respiratory tract infection is described. There was no history of supraventricular tachyarrhythmias or embolic events. Transthorasic echocardiography definitely showed an aneurysmal sac (3.7 Ã—4.2 cm) originating from the right atrium with compressing effect on left side cardiac structures. Surgical excision of aneurysm allowed removal of mass effect and clinical improvement.
