Artery dissection is a frequent cause of ischemic strokes in patients < 45 years of age. In this age group, 25% of all ischemic strokes are caused by dissection [1]. Besides spontaneous occurrence, cerebral artery dissections are frequently associated with trauma, fibromuscular dysplasia, Marfan’s syndrome, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, or chiropractic manipulation [2]. …
