van Beers and colleagues described a 49-year-old woman admitted to hospital for thunderclap headache, blurred vision and hypertension. Based on clinical manifestations, diagnostic work-up and follow-up, the authors diagnosed the case as posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) [
