What is essential for our profession? Technical developments of course, manual skills, political networks; but also neuroradiologists who think differently, who do not just want to see what has never been seen before, but want to think what has never been thought before. The following two articles may definitely be taken as examples of this mindset. We were taught to think differently and infected for our profession by László Solymosi around 20 years ago. The “virus” is still living, is becoming even more active, and some of the content is sometimes printed not only in Clinical Neuroradiology. On occasion of his 65th birthday, László Solymosi’s pupils say thank you for this education. We include, without asking, the readership of Clinical Neuroradiology, acknowledging the great commitment ofLászló Solymosi to this Journal. …
