We thank Chakravarthy and colleagues for their interest in our article [1] and for their comments. We appreciate their vast experience in thoracic epidural anesthesia (TEA), mainly for cardiac surgeries and more recently for laparoscopic abdominal procedures. We wish to emphasize that our series is exclusively for epidural anesthesia in laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair performed totally extraperitoneally. …
