In a recent Editorial Update, Bittner [1] reviewed the evolution of laparoscopic surgery over the last 15 years. The review is comprehensive and thorough, but I find that laparoscopic treatment of splenic diseases is lacking. This surgical indication has had an impact similar to that seen for gallbladder disease, achalasia, reflux disease, and adrenal disease. …
