Froment’s sign, described in 1915, identifies ulnar paralysis by the inability to grasp a sheet of paper normally between the thumb and the index finger due to weakening of the adductor pollicis (AP) muscle. Pinch can only be achieved by activation of the median nerve innervated flexor pollicis longus (FPL) muscle [1] (Fig. 1B).
