Within the past few years, research, practice, and policy communities have developed an understanding that if mental health knowledge and effective interventions are not utilized by providers, consumers and service systems, the contributions of our science will be modest. Policymakers have considered whether to mandate the use of evidence-based practices within mental health service systems, practitioners have struggled to find the best way to increase clinical practice knowledge within limited resources, and researchers have been working toward increasing the compatibility of tested interventions with a wide variety of service systems. …
