We read with the highest interest the article published by Baunacke et al. about the utilization of care in male incontinence surgery (MIS) over the past two decades [
1]. The authors notably reported a drop of 42% in MIS over from 2011 to 2019 due to a brutal decrease of the use of male slings, and they report a global worldwide underuse of MIS based on a non-systematic literature review process. However, we replicated this analysis in the French healthcare system and our findings go partly against the conclusions of Baunacke et al. [
