Excerpt

The steady increase in the numbers of patients who are overweight or obese is a serious challenge to healthcare systems,1 including the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). Obesity is an important driver of increasing morbidity related to hypertension, diabetes, certain cancers, and osteoarthritis. It is also an important driver of healthcare costs as Veterans and non-Veterans age. In a recent study of nearly 5 million VA primary care patients (347,112 females and 4,567,096 males), 37% were overweight and 41% were obese.2

Keynote webinar | Spotlight on medication adherence

Live: Thursday 27th June 2024, 18:00-19:30 (CEST)

WHO estimates that half of all patients worldwide are non-adherent to their prescribed medication. The consequences of poor adherence can be catastrophic, on both the individual and population level.

Join our expert panel to discover why you need to understand the drivers of non-adherence in your patients, and how you can optimize medication adherence in your clinics to drastically improve patient outcomes.
