The series of articles is remarkable by including the perspectives, experiences, and recommendations of a special group of professionals who address barriers in providing mental health services to children and families and identify needed changes. The contributors identify issues at multiple levels (e.g., systems organization, legislation, policy, and economics) and how these concretely affect the delivery of services. From these articles one can readily appreciate both the challenges of providing services as well as the urgency in making changes. …
