Hepatocellular adenoma is a rare, benign liver tumour diagnosed predominantly in women on oral contraceptive therapy [

2]. Hepatocellular adenoma has also been described in patients taking anabolic androgenic steroids [
3] and in those with some inherited metabolic disorders, as type 1 glycogen storage disease [
