In this issue of the Journal of Nuclear Cardiology, Fiechter et al. lead us off the road and focus our attention on invaluable information which is almost systematically ignored by most of us. And their conclusions are triply perplexing: bone mineral density is significantly correlated to cardiovascular disease; moreover, this relationship is sex-dependent; and it can be assessed using a low-dose CT-scan.
