A 28-year-old woman presented with a 10-month history of intermittent abdominal pain, diarrhea, and hematochezia. Physical examination revealed mild tenderness in the right lower abdominal quadrant. Laboratory tests revealed hemoglobin 85 g/L, and tumor markers were within normal ranges. Contrast-enhanced CT scan of the abdomen showed a lobulated and pedicled mass measuring 4.9 × 4.5 × 6.2 cm with intense but inhomogeneous enhancement in the ascending colon (Fig. 1a,b). Colonoscopy revealed a pedicled and spherical colonic lesion (Fig. 1c), and biopsies demonstrated proliferation of spindle cells in lamina propria. The patient then underwent right hemicolectomy.
