Carney’s triad is a rare multi-centric and multi-focal combination of soft tissue tumors first described in 1977 [
1]; it includes the combination of gastric gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST), pulmonary chondromas, and extra-adrenal paraganglioma [
2]. Further observations have now included the esophageal leiomyoma and the adrenal adenoma as part of the syndrome [
3]. The triad is incomplete in 78 % of the cases with only two of the three tumors occurring [
