We read with huge interest the manuscript of Lucie Dostalova et al. [1] entitled “The role of fine‑needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) in the diagnostic management of parotid gland masses with emphasis on potential pitfalls”. The authors' results confirm the significant role of fine‑needle aspiration biopsy in the diagnostic algorithm of parotid gland lesions. We agree with the authors of the publication, but we would like to pay attention to several aspects concerning the diagnostic tools of parotid tumors. …
