Diffuse rash and pruritus: 2 case reports

A retrospective study of 101 patients described two patients [ages and sexes not stated] who developed diffuse rash or pruritus while receiving febuxostat [route and dosage not stated]. The patients, who had a history of toxic epidermal necrosis due to allopurinol, started receiving febuxostat for gout. They developed diffuse rash and localised pruritus (one patient each) [duration of treatment to reactions onset and outcomes not stated]. …
