This article described the use of three overlapped 8 × 80-mm “nitinol” stents (Wallstent; Boston Scientific, Natick, MA, USA) placed in the left SFA. Please note that Wallstent is not made of nitinol, and is a self-expanding stent composed of biomedical grade cobalt–chromium–iron–nickel–molybdenum alloy wires (commonly known as Elgiloy or Conichrome) braided in a tubular mesh configuration. Nitinol stents and elgiloy stents consist of different features and properties. We regret this oversight. …
