A 15-month-old boy developed mydriasis following accidental ocular exposure to epinephrine [EpiPenVR]. The boy presented to the emergency department after his older sibling stabbed the needle containing epinephrine 0.15mg (1:1000) in his right upper temporal eyelid. Examinations showed his pupil was dilated to 6mm and was not reactive to light. He also showed signs of eyelid haematoma [outcome not stated]. He also showed retinal tear and corneal injury due to the impact of the needle. …
