Abstract

Gouty tophus of the first metatarsophalangeal joint can cause shoewear problem. It can ulcerate and lead to secondary infections. Wound complications are common after open resection of the tophus. We describe an endoscopic approach to resect the tophus in order to minimize the soft tissue complications.
