The New Year 2017 is going to be an important step in the evolution of our journal Surgical and Radiologic Anatomy. Thanks to our publisher Springer, the number of published issues will go up to 12 per year, and this will achieve a faster publication in a referenced issue after the online first. Some renewing and changes have been necessary in the Editorial board and in the International Advisory board, for facing this new increasing of editorial activity. Warmest thanks are given to the associate editors and reviewers who regularly contributed to the scientific contents of our journal in the fields of clinical and radiologic anatomy. We still use the term “radiologic” anatomy that is so limited because X-rays is a small part of “Medical imaging” which is really more appropriate: medical imaging represents the depiction of anatomy, and the great augmentation of the number of submissions in this section reflects the importance of the research and its strong clinical relevance. …
