Gastric leak by staple line disruption is the main complication after sleeve gastrectomy (SG) for obesity. Two thirds of gastric leaks occur after hospital discharge [
1]. Pathophysiology of these delayed leaks remains debated but is probably related to ischemic mechanisms [
