APACHE II scores [1] and Glasgow Aneurysm Scores (GAS) [2] are commonly used in ICUs to predict mortality. These scoring systems (scores α mortality), when applied to postoperative emergency open abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair patients, yield varying results.
