We have thoroughly read the study by Arora et al. regarding the effects of dexamethasone on patients with newly diagnosed high-grade gliomas (HGG) and the impact of its use on both overall survival and progression-free survival [1]. Their meta-analysis involved a diverse cohort of 1,257 patients across seven studies spanning from January 1, 2007, to May 31, 2023. Their comprehensive analysis demonstrated that the use of dexamethasone before or during surgery is associated with poorer overall survival and progression-free survival rates. …
