What is good research? Good research is like a wheel, which has a repeated cyclical motion; it completes a full circle to give rise to a new question but moves us further on our journey to understand nature. It constitutes identification of a genuine question that needs to be answered, provision of adequate experimental material, diligent conduct of the experiment, honesty in evaluation and reporting of the outcomes, and, last but not the least, perseverance to find answers to the new questions posed by previous experiment. If any of the components goes missing, the quality of the research drops. There cannot be any doubt about the abundance of the questions that need to be addressed, especially when only 10% of our clinical practice is based on robust evidence. Where and how we do it can be a subject of a debate. Moreover, we have no doubt in our mind that the developing world can be the best answer for at least the first of these questions. …
