This book, written by the main author and seven collaborators from the fields of neuroradiology and (neuro)-ophthalmology, is an ambitious attempt to present the basic science and imaging of disorders of the entire visual system in a single text. It is divided into two main sections. The first comprises four chapters, beginning with a brief chapter on imaging techniques. Chapter 2 details visual system anatomy and is illustrated with numerous high-quality CT and MR images and one dacryocystogram. Each image is accompanied by a well presented, annotated line diagram superimposed on a faded copy of the same image. This avoids overcrowded and potentially confusing annotation. (The same technique is also used in some images of pathology later in the book.)
