Acute gastric volvulus is a rare acute life-threatening surgical emergency that involves abnormal rotation of the stomach along one or both of its axes by more than 180° resulting in closed-loop obstruction. Acute gastric volvulus can result in complications such as gastric ischemia, necrosis, and perforation; as a consequence, it requires rapid recognition and need immediate surgical treatment [1, 2]. …
