The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) global pandemic caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a major public health event. As a special population, children have special respiratory tract structure characteristics, immature immune system, and susceptibility to respiratory virus infections.
