We have read with great interest the editorial about the use of terlipressin in chronic hyperdynamic endotoxic shock by Dr Asfar [
1]. In our opinion, the use of vasopressin or terlipressin can be very useful in the treatment of vasodilatory shock due to their strong vasoconstrictive effects via V1a receptors. Moreover, Landry et al. [
2] reported a relative vasopressin deficiency in patients with septic shock. …
