“Green anesthesia” in the “Green Journal”

I frequently reflect on the somewhat unique principal colour of the Journal. Canada’s national colours are, of course, red and white—as also reflected in the crest of the Canadian Anesthesiologist’s Society (CAS). The latter additionally features blue—the maritime connotation of which naturally resonates with me as a Vancouverite, as I am sure it does with our colleagues from the Atlantic provinces of Canada. And then, in-between if you will, there is the unique blue of the wide-open skies of the Canadian Prairies. Blue is now prominently featured in the recently rebranded visual identity of the CAS, as can be seen by the example of the Society’s website.¹ …
