Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) is an important public health challenge worldwide [
1]. The survival rate of OHCA is less than 1% in China compared with 12% in the USA [
2]. Previous studies have shown that immediate bystander-initiated cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and early defibrillation are essential to improve survival after OHCA [
