Intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile duct (IPNB) is defined as “a grossly visible premalignant neoplasm with intraductal papillary or villous growth of biliary-type epithelium and if there is a component of invasive carcinoma, the lesion is designated intraductal papillary neoplasm with associated invasive carcinoma” in the World Health Organization (WHO) 2019 classification.
