Intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile duct (IPNB) is defined as “a grossly visible premalignant neoplasm with intraductal papillary or villous growth of biliary-type epithelium and if there is a component of invasive carcinoma, the lesion is designated intraductal papillary neoplasm with associated invasive carcinoma” in the World Health Organization (WHO) 2019 classification.1 Due to the rarity of IPNB, the clinical presentation, etiology, diagnostic approach, histopathological features, and prognosis are not well established. Moreover, few reports about postoperative prognostic factors are available, despite surgical resection being considered the standard treatment. …
