An insightful article was published in this journal discussing the implications of artificial intelligence on the practice of medicine and exploring the assessed risk of replacing physicians eventually [1]. The conclusion of how artificial intelligence would only be suitable for performing a narrow range of decision-making and thereby be able to perform well in theoretical examinations but not address the nuances of clinical practice was made. To this, we would like to add the shortcomings of artificial intelligence towards understanding and reciprocating human emotions, something which inherently serves as the core of most medical branches and especially psychiatry. …
