Another Successful Year

Another successful year has just passed. This was also the completion of my second year as Editor-in-Chief of Obesity Surgery and I am happy to report that we had another good year. The journal has a new look and a revamped editorial board. This past year, we again reviewed over 500 manuscripts, submitted from 49 countries, and accepted just less than half of them. The quality of the submissions has given us the luxury to only accept the highest quality submissions. Thanks to our excellent editorial board and reviewers, we are completing the review process, on average, in less than 42 days, an all-time low for Obesity Surgery. Our impact factor remains strong at 3.102 which ranks Obesity Surgery 23rd out of 198 surgical journals. Finally, total circulation has increased to over 10,000 subscriptions. …
