To the Editor—The LigaSure™ vessel sealing system (Valleylab, Tyco Healthcare Group, Boulder, CO) for sutureless hemorrhoidectomy is a relatively new device that has been evaluated for its use in same-day surgery and possibly offers the benefit of ease of application, reduced bleeding, shorter hospital stay, less postoperative pain, and faster wound healing.
