Abstract
Nasendoscopy is a commonly performed procedure for evaluation of velopharyngeal competence. For the purpose of recording the findings, sophisticated systems are available, which are extremely expensive and probably beyond the scope of many centers especially in the third world. An imaginatively assembled system is presented which focuses on the cost; this has been reduced to a fraction of the original, without compromising on the quality of the images. The potential uses for this system are tremendous, considering the volume of charity work being done in the field of cleft lip and palate in the third world countries.
