A 52-year-old man developed allergic reaction following treatment with amphotericin B [amphotericin B deoxycholate]. The man with an end-stage HIV infection, received amphotericin B [route and dosage not stated] for pulmonary mucormycosis due to Lichtheimia ramosa, on the 7th day of readmission. However, he developed an allergic reaction [duration of treatment to reaction onset and outcome not stated] and hence, he was switched to amphotericin B liposomal [liposomal amphotericin B].
