A 32-year-old female presented to an outside institution with 4 days of abdominal discomfort, obstipation, and non-bilious, non-bloody emesis. She has a history of cerebral palsy with severe spasticity, prior ventriculoperitoneal shunt, gastrostomy tube dependence, and severe dextroscoliosis. Prior to presentation, the patient had multiple episodes of white to clear tubefeed-like emesis per day and no bowel movement for 5 days. She has no family history of colorectal cancers. Upon presentation, she was afebrile, normotensive, and tachycardic to 101 BPM. On exam, she displayed moderate abdominal distension with tympany. Initial laboratory values were unremarkable. …
