Intramuscular implants have been the preference in countries in which augmentation gluteoplasty has become popular, especially in Brazil. The major advantages of this technique over the submuscular and subfascial techniques are that the results are more natural and that it is possible to do selective filling when indicated. The subfascial technique does not allow for selective filling, and the submuscular technique improves only the upper part of the buttocks, which may cause “double buttocks” in some patients [4]. …
