Abstract

USE of viral RNA or DNA information in the control of genetic deficiency and certain other diseases, including cancer, has been suggested by transduction with bacteriophage1 and by the recent report of the reduction in levels of blood arginine in certain animals and man as a result of infection with the Shope papilloma virus, which induces a virus-specific arginase2.
