Summary

In order to cure parasagittal meningiomas with partial blockage of the superior sagittal sinus as well as wounds of this sinus, the authors have undertaken an experimental study on 18 dogs.

An autogenous vein graft is used, which is kept open by a broad suture on a piece of dura.

The authors can, like that, make either a plastia of one or two walls of the sinus for meningiomas or a total graft of the sinus for traumatic dilaceration.
