Penicillium chrysogenum endophthalmitis

Abstract

Infections caused byPenicillium chrysogenum are rare. The first case of posttraumatic endophthalmitis caused by this saprophytic fungus is reported. Therapy with amphotericin B and topical natamycin eradicated the organism.
