Abstract
Extending labour marked participation of older people (aged 55+) is an important target of European social policy (“Lisbon Strategy”). In addition to reducing economic incentives of early retirement, investments into “good” work, in terms of a favourable psychosocial work environment, are proposed as promising measures towards this end. Distinct national social policies may enhance such efforts.
