Abstract

Nurse and patient do not relate to one another in a vacuum but within the over-all framework of some kind of setting. By virtue of its location, physical setup and purpose and even more, perhaps, by its atmosphere, the setting exerts a powerful influence upon the nurse-patient interaction.
