Abstract
Viewpoints concerning man and his nature can be sorted into four categories: 1) Man is primarily rational and good; 2) man is primarily irrational and bad; 3) man is neither good nor bad intrinsically but merely a product of his environment; and 4) man is a combination of the qualities that characterize the first three categories (1).
