Zusammenfassung

Sprunggelenk und Fuß stellen eine morphologische und kinetische Einheit dar. Die Gesamtbeweglichkeit von oberem Sprunggelenk und Fuß ist ein dreidimensionaler Ablauf, dessen Einzelkomponenten durch die vermittelnde Funktion des Talus als »knöcherner Meniskus« eines dreikammerigen Sprunggelenks aufeinander einwirken (Zwipp 1994). Die Komplexbewegung des Fußes ist von Fick im Jahre 1911 sinnbildlich als »Maulschellenbewegung« bezeichnet worden, deren Einzelkomponenten nicht streng voneinander zu trennen sind. So ist die Plantarflektion im oberen Sprunggelenk mit einer dreidimensionalen Inversion des Fußes, die Dorsalextension im oberen Sprunggelenk mit einer Eversion des Fußes verbunden (◘ Abb. 11.1a).
