We read with great interest the recent case report by Xiong et al., describing a rare case of myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibody-positive unilateral optic neuritis following pulmonary tuberculosis infection [1]. The authors provide a compelling account of a potential association between MOG antibody disease (MOGAD) and tuberculosis (TB), contributing to the growing discourse on post-infectious neuroimmunological syndromes. However, certain aspects warrant further discussion to enhance our understanding of this complex interplay. …
