Dr. Teresa Lopéz Fernández leads the Cardio-Oncology Unit at University Hospital La Paz, Madrid, where she specialises in cardiac imaging. She is the chair-elected of the ESC Council of Cardio-Oncology, the founder and chair of the Spanish Cardio-Oncology Working Group at the Spanish Society of Cardiology and the vice president of the International Cardio-Oncology Society. Dr. Lopéz Fernández is also co-chair of the 2022 ESC Guidelines on cardio-oncology.
Dr. Lopéz Fernández's research interests include cardiotoxicity diagnosis and prevention, and the mechanisms, treatment, and diagnosis of the cardiac complications of cancer therapies and cardiac imaging.
