Fixed Facial Sporotrichosis

A 3-y-old girl presented with a 10-mo history of a localized asymptomatic verrucous plaque on her right cheek. The lesion initially appeared as a papule, and then gradually enlarged into an erythematous verrucous plaque. A prior medical history of tuberculosis was excluded. Previous treatment with oral terbinafine 125 mg daily was done but the lesion had only slightly improved. Physical examination revealed a well-demarcated, infiltrated, erythematous verrucous plaque (0.8 cm×1.2 cm) covered with a yellowish-brown crust on her right cheek (Fig.
