Rudolf de Boer
Clinical Cardiologist and Professor of Translational Cardiology at the University Medical Center Groningen, The Netherlands.
Prof. Dr. de Boer is a Clinical Cardiologist, a Professor of Translational Cardiology, and the Director of the Experimental Cardiology at the University Medical Center Groningen, the Netherlands. He studied medicine at the University of Groningen, completed research fellowships at the University of Utah, the University of Groningen, and at Harvard Medical School.
His research group focuses on cardiac remodeling and heart failure, fibrosis, diabetes, and cardio-oncology. His main clinical interests include myocardial remodeling, cardio-oncology, and the genetics of heart failure. He is liaison officer of the ESC Council on Cardio-Oncology and President-Elect of the Dutch Cardiac Society (NVVC).
